What did you love about YA?
I am still working at the organization that I began working in as a high schooler. I am working as a Data Analyst Intern as I continue my education at UW Madison as a computer science major. I absolutely love my job at the City of Madison Fleet as a Data Analyst Intern. Not only do I get to work with a great team of people who are passionate about their work, but I also get to use my analytical skills to help make a real impact on the city's operations. It's incredibly rewarding to see the insights I provide being put into action and helping to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the fleet's operations. I look forward to continuing to learn and grow in this role and to make a meaningful contribution to the city's operations.
How did YA influence your plans after high school?
My plans remained the same of continuing postsecondary education at UW Madison, but I gained more knowledge of the data analytics field.
What do you want others to know about YA?
The YA Program is an incredible opportunity for students who are interested in exploring career options and gaining valuable work experience while still in high school. I completely agree that the program is a great way to determine whether a particular career path is right for someone. Through the YA program, students have the chance to work with professionals in the field and gain hands-on experience in a real-world setting. This experience can help students make more informed decisions about their future education and career goals. I encourage anyone who is interested in the program to learn more about it and take advantage of this unique opportunity.
